Sean Keys is a Business Development Engineer at the WiSAR Technology Gateway. Sean holds a BSc (Hons) in Applied Computing from LYIT and completed an MSc by Research in 2020.
Sean’s current research explores the use of blockchain technology and artificial intelligence in the creation of quality assurance records, and he is currently pursuing a PhD in this area at the Atlantic Technological University, Donegal.
Sean has over 20 years’ experience working in the manufacturing industry, holding senior managerial positions in the automotive, bio-medical and electronics manufacturing sectors, with proven ability to interact efficiently with clients. Sean’s focus is on Industry 4.0 challenges, and he has executed industry projects for Optibelt, an IDA client in Letterkenny and Chameleon, and Enterprise Ireland client in Galway, prior to taking up his current position at WiSAR Lab.
Sean has a passion for technology and especially enjoys the challenge of turning large amounts of complex data into digestible information to effect more informed and effective decision making in commercial settings. He has working competencies in Java, SQL, JavaScript, Node.js, HTML and PHP and a particular specialty in C#.
