Kathy Bannigan is a PhD student in the Department of Computing at Atlantic Technological University (ATU), working with Dr. Shagufta Henna and Dr. Stephen Seawright. She has completed a BSc in Bioanalytical Science and an MSc in Data Science at ATU Donegal. Kathy’s PhD research, titled “Enhancing Coastal Resilience: A Digital Twin Approach to Contrastive Graph Generative Models for Coastal Protection”, uses remote sensing data to predict future shoreline changes and risks. This work aims to facilitate the development of predictive mitigation strategies for effective coastal preservation.
