Dr Stephen Seawright is the WISAR Technology Gateway Manager at Atlantic Technological University, Donegal, an IOT centre of excellence in electronic and software solutions for Irish industry.
Stephen has a strong background in nurturing entrepreneurship and innovation. He is an Entrepreneur in Residence at Catalyst, the leading manager of science parks and entrepreneurship networks in Northern Ireland. Stephen was also co-founder and CEO of the Queen’s University spin-out Sensurity Limited, leading the company from inception to first product introduction.
Previously Stephen was Commercial Director of Benetel, an RF & Wireless design consultancy firm, member of the Executive Board for TDK Electronics Europe and CEO of TDK Ireland Limited, an R&D subsidiary of the Japanese multi-national TDK Corporation, for 10 years.
Stephen has over 25 years’ experience in identifying new product opportunities, executing product development from concept phase, right through to production.
