Saim Ghafoor received his Ph.D. from University College Cork, Ireland in 2018. He completed his M.S. from Hanyang University, South Korea in 2010 and B.E from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan in 2005. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Computing, Atlantic Technological University, Donegal. Previously, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in TSSG, Waterford Institute of Technology, Ireland. He worked as a Lecturer at Comsats Institute of Technology from 2010 to 2012. He is currently an associate editor in Elsevier, Computer and Electrical Engineering and serving as a reviewer for many reputable journals and conferences including IEEE Communication Surveys and Tutorials, IEEE Communication Magazine, IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, Elsevier Ad hoc Networks, Computer, and Electrical Engineering, Communication Networks and Springer Wireless Networks. He has organized a workshop, IEEE INFOCOM’2019 Workshop on Ultra High Broadband Terahertz Communication for 5G and Beyond Networks (UBTCN). He also has edited a book on ‘Next Generation Wireless Terahertz Communication Networks’. His research interests include Cognitive Radio Networks, Terahertz Communication Networks, Autonomous Networks, Internet of Things, Wireless Sensor Networks, and high-speed networks.
