Dr Kevin Meehan is a Lecturer in Computing at Atlantic Technological University, Donegal. Kevin graduated from the Ulster University with a BSc Hons in Computer Science and a PhD in Computer Science. He also holds PGCE in Further and Higher Education. Kevin’s research interests include the areas of computer vision, machine learning, location tracking, recommender systems, context-aware systems and ubiquitous / pervasive computing. His PhD Research combined context data and intelligent techniques to provide a more intelligent recommendation in a mobile tourism application. Kevin has experience of working as a software developer and has also got experience with industry collaboration from an academic perspective. This industry collaboration has allowed Kevin to work with over 40 SMEs over the past five years in new product development and new process development projects. These projects include digitisation of processes, integration of software, data analysis, machine learning and prediction.
