This position is for Applied Research in the Data2sustain programme.
The Data2sustain programme has been funded for a further 3 years until 30/4/29 with an emphasis on artificial intelligence innovation projects and skills development.
This position is for a Postdoc or an industry researcher with more than 4 years relevant work experience.
This position requires expertise in artifical intelligence and data analytics.
Requirements:
Candidates must have:
- PhD in Computer Science or exceptionally, equivalent* research
- experience (including industrial R&D).
- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or
- Software Engineering.
- Demonstrable production experience delivering distributed data
- processing pipelines (e.g., Spark, Dask, Ray) at scale, including
- performance optimisation and operational ownership.
- Experience leading the design/implementation of a ML model that was
- deployed into a commercial or public-sector workflow.
*EU defines a PhD equivalent as 4 years fulltime research after a primary degree
